The study, carried out by Škoda’s experts with the help of veterinarian Dr Scott Miller, showed that:
- Mango the dog (a one-year-old cocker spaniel) had the lowest heart rate while riding in the electric Škoda Elroq.
- In a petrol car his heart rate rose to 120 BPM, and in a diesel car even higher.
- In the EV, Mango relaxed completely and even lay down, while in the other vehicles he showed nervousness and tension.
- The reason is simple: a dog hears four times better than a human, and an electric car produces drastically fewer high-frequency sounds and vibrations.
