Sustainability
We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint through sustainable production and providing sustainable mobility solutions to contribute to a cleaner environment for future generations.
What is SparkShare?
A charger stands unused most of the time. If its owner can easily share it with neighbours, guests or colleagues, one device serves many people and every kilowatt-hour gets its value. SparkShare, founded in Osijek in 2022, builds exactly that: smart chargers, the app and the cloud that connect them into a community.
Sparkshare is an innovative network of smart charging stations for electric vehicles (EVs) that, starting in late 2024, connects drivers, citizens, and businesses into a unique digital energy community. Our solutions enable the sharing of electricity through smart EV chargers, promoting sustainable mobility and a new model of participation in the energy transition. The Sparkshare network addresses three key challenges of today:
Our mission is to accelerate the shift toward clean energy and electromobility—building a community where everyone can participate, share, and benefit.

Our vision is to enable charging prices for electric vehicle owners at the same rate as home charging, while also allowing power plant owners to sell their energy at charging rates comparable to public EV chargers, aiming to encourage greater electric vehicle usage and contribute to a more sustainable energy future.
Values

Our story
There were four of us, all driving electric cars. Our co-founder Kristina could not charge at home at the time because her driveway was being rebuilt, so she charged at a friend’s. Someone at the table said how great it would be if she could somehow repay him – if we could exchange that energy somehow.
That is how we came to a shared question: how to share energy for charging so that anyone can come to anyone’s home, charge the car and leave without feeling they owe someone? SparkShare grew out of that question.
Around the table sat people who have worked with technology for years, each in their own field – most of us with more than twenty years of experience. We quickly realised that a charger is easy to buy, but hard to share smartly and bill fairly. So we decided to build the solution we would want to use ourselves.
We built everything ourselves, and that is our greatest advantage.
Everything in-house
The heart of every charger – it monitors the current, talks to the car and connects to the internet – designed in our own R&D.
Written from scratch, so we know every line of code.
Our own cloud system in the EU, web portal and mobile app – no layer was bought ready-made.
Chargers are assembled in our own production at the Green Office in Bilje, and support is local.
All key parts are always available and easy to replace: if the cable or the electronics get damaged, you change only that part, not the whole charger.
If development ever stops, all the source code becomes open source, so no SparkShare charger is ever left without its brain.
Connect the charger to Home Assistant, or to your own systems through the open API of the cloud and of the charger itself.
What we are working on
V2H, V2B and V2G: the car not only takes energy but can also return it – to the home, the building or the grid.
Just plug in the cable: the car introduces itself to the charger and charging and billing start automatically, without an app or card.
A much smaller housing with the same power and all the smart features – 3D printed, of course.
A SparkShare charger within reach wherever tourists come – and then in neighbouring countries, with new partners.
The people behind SparkShare
SparkShare was started by a few enthusiasts – experts of different profiles, most of them with more than twenty years of experience in their field. That is how we could do something rare in this industry: develop the whole system ourselves.
